Policies & Procedures

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that life happens, and sometimes plans change! Below are our policies regarding cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds to ensure fairness for everyone:

Cancellation 72+ Hours Before the Class:

If you cancel at least 72 hours before the scheduled class, you are eligible for a full refund or a credit to use toward a future class.

Less Than 72 Hours Before the Class:

Cancellations made within 72 hours of the class are not eligible for a refund. However, you may transfer your spot to a friend or family member by notifying us via email.

No-Shows:

Unfortunately, no-shows cannot be refunded or rescheduled.

Why This Policy is Necessary:

Creative workshops require extensive preparation, including purchasing materials, setting up the space, and reserving the instructor’s time. Adhering to this policy ensures that we can continue to offer high-quality workshops to all participants! If a student cancels class, that could be a loss of profit for the studio, as we can't always fill the seat in such a short amount of time.

Thank you for understanding and being supportive of our small business!

What happens if Bloomery cancels a workshop?

We do our best here at Bloomery Art Co. to run every valuable workshop, as our passion truly lies in educating our community. However, there is always a possibility that things won't go as planned.

Minimum Attendance:

If a class does not meet the required number of participants, Bloomery reserves the right to cancel or reschedule.

You will be notified at least 24 hours before the class and offered a choice of a full refund or credit for another workshop.

Emergency Cancellations:

In the unlikely event of weather-related closures, instructor illness, or other emergencies, you will be contacted promptly and may choose a refund, reschedule, or credit.

What should I bring?

Honestly, just yourself and an open mind, ready for creating!

Some of our guests like to make a real night of it, though, which we love! Bring any snack or beverage for sipping if you prefer. Please do not bring food containing peanuts into our classroom, for the safety of folks with serious allergies.

Our studio is BYOB if you desire, so you may want to swing by the Fine Wine & Good Spirits before class begins. We have glasses and a corkscrew!

Not many of our workshops are messy, unless otherwise noted in the description. We offer adorable student aprons for classroom use.

We will email if there are specific things you'll need for class, but otherwise, we've got it covered!

Do I need art supplies for class?

Typically, all supplies are included in a class ticket price! If there are any additional items you might need, you will be notified in the communication before class.

If you'd like to bring your favorite tools for class, we encourage it! However, Bloomery Art Co. is not responsible for any lost or stolen personal items.

Do you have iPads and Apple Pencils available for student use?

For our digital workshops, we’re pleased to offer classroom iPads and Apple Pencils for student use! We have a total of 12 devices available at this time, so you'll notice the digital classes are limited in spaces.

Before receiving the equipment, you’ll be required to sign a usage agreement, confirming that you’ll handle the technology respectfully and take responsibility for any damage.

For those who are bringing their own tech tools, please review the required items carefully before registering for a class. Most of our digital drawing workshops require an iPad, an Apple Pencil, and the Procreate app (downloaded and ready to use) unless otherwise noted.

Are there age restrictions for your classes?

We design our workshops to ensure a fun and engaging experience for all participants. We also take our young people's experiences and safety seriously.

To maintain a safe and productive environment, we have the following age restrictions:

Adult Workshops:

Most of our workshops are tailored for adults (18+) of all skill levels. Teens aged 13–17 are welcome to join adult workshops ONLY if accompanied by a participating adult.

Teen Classes:

Select workshops are designed specifically for teens (ages 13–17), held typically as an afterschool club or summer intensive. These are perfect for budding young artists looking to explore their creativity. These programs are run by instructors with clearances on file, holding them to the same standards as a school professional.

Family-Friendly Events:

Occasionally, we host family-friendly workshops where all ages are welcome. These events will be clearly marked in their descriptions.

If you’re unsure whether a workshop is suitable for your child or teen, or have any questions, feel free to contact us for guidance!

What other class policies do you have?

Student Arrival:

You're welcome to arrive early, but our small (but mighty) classroom space will open to students 15 minutes prior to the indicated start time. This allows our teachers to prepare the space perfectly before you begin! Thank you for being patient.

Seating:

Typically, seating is first-come, first-served, or an instructor may choose to randomly "assign" seats to students. You are welcome to shift around at the start of class to sit with friends or ensure best visibility. We are relaxed and respectful of your comfort! Please let us know if you need anything more from us to make your experience great.

General Vibes:

Our classroom space is super encouraging and welcome to people of all abilities and walks of life! We appreciate and respect every participant, and expect our students to do the same. Thanks for being good humans!

What's the parking situation?

Parking at Bloomery Art Co. is easy and convenient!

We’re located in a small office center with plenty of parking spaces available during nights and weekends. During workshops, please try to park as close to our doors as possible. We do share the lot with friendly neighboring businesses!

For teens after school clubs or summer programming, we kindly ask that parents keep drop-offs and pick-ups brief to avoid blocking access or disturbing our neighboring businesses. If you’d like to come in to chat, please have consideration for our neighbors during their operating business hours and keep it quick.

The lot is well-lit for your safety, whether you’re visiting us during the day or evening.
