Garden Journal Bookbinding

Custom bound notebooks for gardening and more • All supplies included

We are dreaming of our garden and getting outdoors this spring! Are you a gardener, a lover of flowers, fond of your farmer’s market, or just like plants? All are welcome to create a notebook for recording your garden observations, journaling, sketching, or simply to give as a gift, surrounded by other nature lovers to swap ideas and converse about the upcoming season!

Students will learn the "link stitch" to bind a journal with a clever foldover cover with an expert instructor to guide them. This is a simple binding that goes one step beyond a basic pamphlet style book for an elevated look.

In class, students will have the opportunity to create two hand bound journals with options to customize the pages and the cover. We'll provide graph and dot paper, small envelopes for seeds, and a variety of botanical papers and washi tape to do some artful collaging. You'll leave with a truly custom piece, plus the knowledge to create handmade books for yourself or others, with tons of variety!

As a bonus, we are collaborating with Herbein's Garden Center in Emmaus to offer each participant a gift of planting seeds and other garden goodies!

Spend the afternoon learning a new skill while you get in the mindset for spring!

This event is geared towards adult learners, but teens 13+ are welcome to join a parent or guardian.
