General

What is a Bloomery? What does your name mean?

Our business name is sometimes assumed to reference blooming flowers, which is understandable — many of our workshops involve beautiful florals, and our founder, Lauren Beck, is known for her botanical illustrations!

However, our company name goes deeper, as we were inspired by the Lehigh Valley's rich industrial heritage. Our name nods to the traditional "bloomery" — a furnace that transforms raw materials into strong, resilient steel. Here at Bloomery Art Co., we embrace that same process of transformation, offering hands-on artistic experiences where raw ideas are shaped into beautiful, meaningful creations.

Step into a space that offers you the tools, inspiration, and community to craft your own creative legacy.

Who started Bloomery Art Co.?

Bloomery Art Co. was founded by Lauren Beck, a passionate artist, educator, and creative entrepreneur. The studio grew from Lauren's deep desire to create something beyond just her own art — something bigger than just one person alone, meant for gathering and connection!

With a love for art, design, and community, Ren's dream was to provide a space where folks can explore their creativity through workshops. Her vision is to inspire artistic expression and foster a welcoming, joyful environment for everyone who walks through the door.

Do you offer programs for younger kids?

While we absolutely adore children (our owner is an educator and proud momma!), you'll notice that our workshop offerings are not intended for small children.

We have designed our workshops to focus on teens 13+ and adults because our goal is to create a space where older participants can fully dive into creative learning and enjoy techniques tailored to their skill levels.

Here’s why:

🌟 Skill Focus:
Our workshops often explore more advanced techniques or use materials that require a certain level of dexterity, making them best suited for ages 13+.

🎨 Creative Escapes:
We want our workshops to feel like a relaxing and inspiring getaway — a chance for creatives to focus on their artistic journey in a calm, distraction-free environment (with little mess!).

We hope you can appreciate our unique mission to support teen and adult art education! If you need assistance finding an art program suitable for your younger kiddo, please ask for recommendations. There are plenty of awesome Lehigh Valley art experiences that we're happy to share for your little ones!

Do you offer custom art parties, scout badge activities, or team building?

At this time, we do not have specific programming for these areas — however, if you are interested in something specific, please reach out to hello@bloomeryart.co to start the conversation!

We definitely have plans to offer this in the future 😉

Is your space available for rent for private parties?

At this time, we do not offer this service, but please check back in the future as we continue to develop our new business.
