Enjoy a more bold and graphic approach to botanical painting in this striking ink-based workshop. Using rich black sumi ink to create flowing washes, we’ll explore abstracted florals and leaves that feel modern and full of movement. Metallic gold accents will then be layered overtop to highlight veins, edges, and details, creating organic and dramatic artworks.

In this guided class, your expert instructor will show you ways to trust your painting hand for confident strokes, embrace contrasted silhouettes with positive and negative space, and let the fine details delight you. This is a beautiful shift away from delicate watercolor work and into bold mark-making with high visual impact! Feel present and grounded as you watch beauty emerge right on the page, trusting the process!

Whether you're a complete novice or a seasoned crafter, this class is designed to inspire and excite you! Our beginner-friendly workshop is geared toward adult learners, but this particular instructor has PA clearances to safely work with teens (age 13+). Participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian attend the workshop with them, and a signed liability waiver is required prior to class.
