In this beginner-friendly workshop, you'll discover how to use fine liners and artist pens to draw expressive, graphic floral illustrations, perfect for wall art, stationery, or just for the joy of making!

Our expert instructor will walk you through essential inking techniques like line variation, adding textural elements, and contour additions to the blooms for added movement. Inspired by the season, we'll use fresh florals as our muse, working with a curated selection of popular blooms with an easygoing spring vibe, with a goal to create a finished floral piece, customized to your own style and ready for framing.

📌 Note:

This event is geared towards adult learners, but teens 13+ are welcome to join a parent or guardian.

What You’ll Learn:

✔️ Basic techniques of illustrative drawing of florals, with an emphasis on expression over perfection, to find your own unique style
✔️ Drawing with different line weights and textures to add depth and detail
✔️ Ink spring-themed botanicals, such as daffodils, tulips, and other filler flowers for texture and balance
✔️ Build balanced compositions to make final bouquets

Lauren Beck is the artist and founder behind Bloomery Art Co., where she’s known for her warm, encouraging approach to teaching beginners. As the illustrator of two published Crayola coloring books — available on shelves at major retailers like Michaels — Lauren brings a signature style of bold floral linework and a passion for accessible creativity. Her experience in both professional illustration and teaching makes her the perfect guide for this beautiful, beginner-friendly workshop.

Whether you're a complete novice or a seasoned crafter, this class is designed to inspire and excite you! Our beginner-friendly workshop is geared toward adult learners, but this particular instructor has PA clearances to safely work with teens (age 13+). Participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian attend the workshop with them, and a signed liability waiver is required prior to class.
