In this gouache workshop, you’ll paint charming illustrative gingerbread cookie people and shapes on paper using rich, opaque layers of color that capture the look of frosting and candy details. Get creative on your own with step-by-step instructions, or use a provided template as a guide (perfect for beginner artists!).

You'll learn all the steps to paint a gingerbread cookie base of browns, adding icing-like highlights that bring your whimsical scene to life, with final candy touches. Leave with knowledge of a new medium, as well as multiple gouache mini paintings that are perfect for framing, gifting, or turning into holiday cards.

This event is geared towards adult learners, but teens 13+ are welcome to join a parent or guardian.

Known for her inviting teaching style, she helps students relax into the creative process while building confidence with every brushstroke. Her own work often features whimsical illustrations, making her the perfect guide for turning gingerbread treats into adorable painted creations!

Whether you're a complete novice or a seasoned crafter, this class is designed to inspire and excite you! Our beginner-friendly workshop is geared toward adult learners, but this particular instructor has PA clearances to safely work with teens (age 13+). Participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian attend the workshop with them, and a signed liability waiver is required prior to class.
