Learn artful embroidery stitching with this beginner-friendly workshop! Guests will learn the basics of embroidery from the very beginning, starting with threading your needle, all the way to crafting simple stitches for a sweet rooted flower design on fabric. Working with these charming springtime floral motifs as an expert artist guides you every step of the way will leave even first time stitchers to feel confident and inspired.
Learners will craft 1-2 small embroidery hoop designs in this class, backed with felt and adorned with ribbon, ready to give as a gift or display in your home. This hands-on workshop is relaxed and fun, with the process as joyful as the finished piece. Celebrate the beauty of spring with creativity, warmth, and with a new set of skills in stitching!

This event is geared towards adult learners, but teens 13+ are welcome to join a parent or guardian.

Meet Your Instructor:
Kathleen Walck is a fiber artist, educator, and small business owner of Local Folk Creative Studio in Kutztown. As a certified K-12 art teacher, Kathleen enjoys teaching students of all ages, from pre-K to adults. She has over 25 years of experience knitting, embroidering, felting and sewing and enjoys sharing her skills and interests with others.

Whether you're a complete novice or a seasoned crafter, this class is designed to inspire and excite you! Our beginner-friendly workshop is geared toward adult learners, but this particular instructor has PA clearances to safely work with teens (age 13+). Participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian attend the workshop with them, and a signed liability waiver is required prior to class.
