Do you have a jean jacket that would look amazing with artistic decoration to make it your own? Maybe your pair of forever loved jeans could use visible mending to repair a hole in a creative way? Or do you want to make denim uniquely yours by bleaching some cool experimental designs on it? The possibilities are endless when you add mending, embroidery, and mixed media to your clothing in this joyful upcycling workshop!
Just bring a clean article of denim clothing (jeans, shirt, jacket, etc) and learn how to get creative with it — you'll discover simple techniques in embroidery, decoration with fabric paints, and simple controlled bleaching processes with bleach pens. All levels welcome! Bring a beloved item to transform, and we’ll provide the supplies and inspiration so you'll leave with a revived art piece that's expressive and sustainable.

This event is geared towards adult learners, but teens 13+ are welcome to join a parent or guardian.
What You’ll Learn:
✔️ How to look at old denim with fresh eyes by identifying areas for patching, painting, or embellishing
✔️ Experiment with fabric-safe paints and bleach pens to add pattern, imagery, or abstract expression directly to denim
✔️ Practice simple visible mending and decorative stitches that add charm and texture. (Perfect for beginners — no sewing experience needed!)

Whether you're a complete novice or a seasoned crafter, this class is designed to inspire and excite you! Our beginner-friendly workshop is geared toward adult learners, but this particular instructor has PA clearances to safely work with teens (age 13+). Participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian attend the workshop with them, and a signed liability waiver is required prior to class.Inherent Risk & Safety:
